Exceptional Care provided with support from Exceptional Volunteers!
If you have a heart for service and a desire to provide exceptional care right here in your community, please consider joining our Volunteer Team! Volunteers play a vital role in the services we provide throughout Oneida Health. In addition to providing services that bring comfort to our patients and their families, many volunteers provide specialized, technical expertise on important projects. Whether they’re working directly with patients, or working behind the scenes, our volunteers enjoy the opportunities to meet new people, to keep active while providing important services, and to experience the personal satisfaction that comes from helping others.
We offer two distinct areas of work to our Volunteers:
Patient Centered Care Opportunities
- Emergency Dept. Assistant
- Greeting/Escorting /Flower Delivery
- Patient Discharge
- Patient / Resident Visitors
- Surgical Waiting Area Host/Hostess
- ECF Activities Volunteer
- Cancer Center Assistant/Sample Transport
Non-Patient Care Opportunities
- Clerical/Administrative roles
- Messenger
- Information Desk
- Data Entry
- Blood Drives
- Volunteer Services Office

- Events

You can choose a volunteer position with a set schedule, usually a few hours per week. We offer morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend placements. Shifts may vary depending on the type of volunteer position you choose. We never forget that your time is valuable and we work to make volunteering fit your busy schedule.
